Only a small chunk of the Ancient Greek Macedonian region was located into today's Skopia/Fyrom and this small chunk was the result of the Greek Macedonian invasion.The population there, at the time, as it is in the present time as well, was what we now call Bulgarians and Albanians. The Slovs had come later and after the era of Alexander the Great who was Greek. After the border distinction / separation, the small chunk remained in the region presently called Skopia / FYROM but not the entire Greek Macedonia. Since the slovs migrated there as noted, they stayed there and spread throughout the entire Skopia region with the small Macedonian chunk in it. The small Macedonian chunk was the result of Alexander's invasion. This is the reason that two DNA studies found only a political mixture there and not a complete Greek / Macedonian DNA. The DNA mixture was mainly composed of Bulgarian/Albanian/Slovic characteristics. Similarly, their language, which they insist is Ancient Macedonian, is linguistically Slovic / Bulgarian based, as per Scholars, Historians and Linguistic Experts.
I recommend you steer away from FYROM based sites professing to tell the truth about this subject matter. FYROMIANS ARE KNOWN TO BE THE MASTERS OF FAKE NEWS AND HISTORY FABRICATIONS, especially when it comes to the Macedonian name which they have been trying to make it their own even by means of stealing and perverting the Greek History itself.
