CAN ANYONE TELL ME THE TRUTHS AND LIES IN THIS ARTICLE..?

NO MATTER HOW HARD I TRY TO UNDERSTAND THE SUPPORTERS OF THE GREEK MILITARY HUNDA, ..I FAIL EACH AND EVERY TIME TO SEE THE BASIS UPON WHICH THEIR SUPPORT IS RESTED
PLEASE ENLIGHTEN ME BECAUSE I FEEL THAT I MAYBE MISSING SOMETHING

THIS IS WHERE I WAS ON NOVEMBER 17, 1974, AT NIGHT AND ON THE DREADFUL NIGHT OF THE POLITECHNIO PROTESTS
"POLITECHNIO" STANDS FOR THE GREEK ENGINEERING UNIVERSITY OF ATHENS, (POLYTECHNIC)

On the night of the 1974 events, I was heading from Kifissia in Athens to New Smyrna of Athens with my first cousin on his motorcycle. Traffic was jammed, and we got stuck in traffic for several hours near the area of Politechnio. My cousin kept cursing at me for being forced to drive me on an evening like that..
The next few days I went inside the Politechnio to get some pictures. I was blocked from entering by some students but later a black student, who spoke perfect Greek but with an African accent, let me inside because, as a kid in my early teens I did not look threatening to him nor did I look like I would do anything against the goals of the protesters.
On that same day, I took my film for development across the street and near the Politechnio. When I went to pick up my photos, the employee/owner told me that he had no pictures to give me because the film was burned.
A few days after that I saw my pictures being published in the Greek news papers. I bet he made some good money by selling my photographs to the Press.
I was there in its area on that dreadful night, I saw more than enough, I felt the pain and I was also deceived by the photographer a few days later. I know first hand what happened and I am very sad and angry because our great country had been misused and taken advantage of by so many corrupt government whose Greek background we don’t really know..

στο Politechnio.

ReplyDeleteSigurd Malfait CAN YOU ELABORATE PLEASE...EVEN BY MEANS OF SOME REFERENCES..I AM DOING MY HOMEWORK ON CLAIMS THAT HUNDA WAS A GOOD THING..BUT I CAN NOT FIND ANYTHING WORTHY OR CREDIBLE ON IT
ReplyDeleteGovernment GangStalking and Electronic Harassment I will look for......
ReplyDeleteSigurd Malfait Thanks,...I rely on you and on your judgment..So far I was not persuaded by supporters of Hunda, based on the material I read which, most of them, were neutral and objective when reporting the pluses and the minuses..
ReplyDeleteThe pluses, from what I saw, were the financial gains that resulted from Hunda's elimination of government services that were , basically, eliminated not for purpose of inducing financial gain to the Greek people but, rather, to give the Hunda more power by eliminating the branches of government whose authority can obstruct, interfere and prevent Hunda from controlling Greece in the manner that they wanted,.WITH DICTATORSHIP AND NOT DEMOCRACY..
Am I wrong?

Sigurd Malfait Thanks for the re search..we must have looked at the same sources because some of your references I had included in my list.. In any event I am researching for the reasons that some Greeks still support the HUNDA.. to such a degree that make people like me feel that maybe I don't know enough
