RESEARCH - DISCLOSURE: These are the reasons why Skopje are NOT entitled to the term "Macedonia"! (It is worth reading)
Strabo says: "Of course, Macedonia is part of Greece".

Herodotus writes: "The descendants of Perdika, the first King of the Macedonians, are Greeks, as they want it, and as I myself know it."

Thucydides says: "The Macedonians are made up of various Greek tribes under various Kings."

Polybius says: "Whatever and how much value the Macedonians have to bear, most of whom never ceased to fight against the Barbarians for the safety of the Greeks."

Arrian, in his book "Ascent of Alexander," says that after the battle of Granicus, Alexander made the following:

"He sent to Athens, the first city of all Greeks, and not to Pella, which was the capital of Macedonia, three hundred armor and other Persian spoils, to be assigned to the patron saint Athena with the dedication" Alexander the Philip and the Greeks, except the Lacedaemonians, from the barbarians of the Asian living. " He also says that 2000 Greek Persian mercenaries who captured prisoners sent them captives to Macedonia to work there as slaves "that despite the common glories of Hellenes, Greek beings, against Greece in favor of the Barbarians, they were arrested."

With his actions, Alexander, apart from his disappointment that the Spartans did not participate in the Panhellenic campaign against the Persians, and in the very few cases that the Greeks fought on the side of the Persians, shows how proud he felt about his Greek origins, that his achievement was purely Greek, and that the other Macedonians should feel the same as Alexander did not make any distinction.

Pausanias confirms that the Macedonians were members of the Delphic Amphictyonion, saying: "At the time, the Amphictyons were thirty. The regions of Nicopolis, Macedonia and Thessaly were sent by each of six representatives "since, as everyone knows, only Greeks were members of Amphictyons. Pausanias also confirms that the Macedonians participated in the Olympic Games, where only Greeks could compete, with many entries and many winners.

Johann Gustav Droizen, an eminent German philologist and historian in the history he wrote about Alexander the Great, emphasizes that: "both Philip and Alexander conveyed and conveyed to the peoples of Asia not the Macedonian civilization because it was never independent , but the Greek civilization ".
When the maps reveal the truth

The efforts made by Skopje to provide evidence of their allegations by building false maps did not work. As hard as anyone tries, he will not find anywhere in the world, maps printed before 1944 that display the word "Macedonia" in any country other than Greece.

How unsubstantiated are Skopjan's arguments in their attempt to put forward their claims that there is a "Macedonian Nation" is evidenced by the following ethnological and historical maps:

The ethnographic map of ethnicities in Macedonia in the period 1912-1926 which was printed in 1970 by New Campridge Modern History.

The ethnographic map of Kieport printed in Berlin in 1818.

The ethnographic map made by the Italians Amendore Vergili in 1908 based on the Turkish census conducted by Hilmi Pasha.

The Map of Standford.

The historical map of Greece, published in Baltimore by E.Z.Coal in 1824, in whose memorandum the publisher describes Macedonia as part of the mainland of Greece while pointing out that its northern borders lie beyond the city of Monastir.

The map published by the famous ORTELIUS Historian-Geographer in 1579, referring to the missionary journeys of Apostle Paul, where the Greek territory appears uniformly including Macedonia.

The Ethnographic Map of the Balkans, published in Paris in 1878, which shows the great supremacy of the Greek population over all other ethnicities without any indication of self-proclaimed Macedonians.

None of these maps, or anyone else that was issued before World War II, makes any reference to a separate "Macedonian Nation" for the simple reason that there was no such nation before Tito invented it.
There is no Macedonian language

Skopje's attempts to show evidence that the so-called "Macedonian language" is the idiom spoken in the Skopje region can not convince anyone. Their language, which contains self-contained Slavic language, was totally unknown until 1944. And as much as anyone tries, it will find nothing to prove its existence. The language used by the Slav-speaking inhabitants of southern Yugoslavia and Southwestern Bulgaria was known as a language idiom of Bulgarian.

After the establishment of the Socialist Republic of Macedonia, for obvious political reasons, a very large number of philologists and scholarship fellowship was recruited to create a separate written language.

After taking the already-spoken Bulgarian language idiom as a starting point and having borrowed extensively from Greek, Serbian, Russian and other Slavic languages, they created a literary language called the "Macedonian language" which was recognized by the Yugoslav Constitution as one of three official languages of the country. The fact that there is neither a text nor an inscription in this language before 1944 proves, without a doubt, that it has nothing to do with the ancient Macedonians and their descendants who always spoke Greek.

The fact that the ancient Macedonians spoke the same language as the other Greeks also appears in the work of the Roman historian Livy, who writes that the Greek assembly in Etolia in 200 BC were attended by "representatives from the Aitolians, the Akarnans and the Macedonians, who all spoke the same language."

There is no official text in either the recent or distant past that mentions "Macedonia" or "Macedonians". Neither the Berlin Treaty nor the St. Stephen's treaty makes any mention of this possibility. The official Turkish census of 1905 gives figures for the populations of the geographic region of Macedonia, which was divided in Vilétia in Thessaloniki and Monastir, shows great supremacy of the Greeks and makes no reference to "Macedonians" for the simple reason that no one of the respondents did not declare such an origin.
